Lee Adami brings to us a wealth of knowledge and experience after years of performing and directing at Timberlake Playhouse, and working at Walt Disney World in Florida. She will focus on theater techniques, improvisation, creating characters and raising performance confidence in this summer’s camp.

July Featured performer Chellanie is a Wisconsin-born singer-songwriter whose passion for music led her to Nashville, Tennessee, where she spent years developing her craft. Now back home near family, she continues to write and perform while maintaining strong ties to the Nashville music scene. Her music blends heartfelt storytelling with country influences, reflecting both her small-town roots and her experiences in Music City.
Also appearing are Van Orman and Helwin, whose eclectic performances feature songs of love and loss, ranging from the devout to the degenerate. Their inspired vocal harmonies are accompanied by a wide array of instruments, including guitars, gourd banjo, fiddle, hurdy-gurdy, harmonium, concertina, harmonica, and jaw harp.
The event is free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated and help support the Galena Center for the Arts’ ongoing efforts to showcase regional talent and original music.

The Guthries are an American Roots Duo that create music peppered with influences such as rock, folk, country, and blues. They are multi-instrumental, playing acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, mandolin, banjo, and light percussion. Expect the unexpected from these folks. They might easily swing from a latin rock beat right into a bluegrass ditty and then follow it up with some blues. There is never a dull moment with these two behind the microphones!

Led by photography teacher Mike Chiaverina, this hands-on workshop covers essential photography techniques like composition and lighting and includes everything from shooting expansive landscapes to close-ups. Learn to take stunning photos with your iPhone in this hands-on workshop. The session begins with an indoor instructional presentation at the Center’s classroom, followed by an outdoor field practice session.
