For Children ages 4-7 yrs. and their parents

Led by an experienced educator, join us Monday-Thursday, June 15-18 from 1-1:45 pm for interactive exploration of some of the best loved children’s books. Expect some singing, art projects and snack. Sign up for one or as many days as you want. A parent or adult guardian must remain at the Center for the full 45 minutes.

RTT is FREE to all and sponsored by a private donor.

Songwriter Showcase encourages the creation and sharing of original music by regional singer songwriters.

A favorite of the Broad Ideas Showcase each spring, Sarah Roodhouse blends music and storytelling into performances that are heartfelt and engaging. A seasoned songwriter and composer, she invites audiences to settle in and enjoy piano songs inspired by a drummer.

Joel Sires has built a following in listening rooms, theaters and clubs across the Midwest with a sound the oldheads call “folk” and the algorithm labels “Intimate Day Pop.” Blending touches of jazz, British Invasion and Laurel Canyon influences, his music feels both timeless and rooted

Dylan Harris is a singer-songwriter based in Southwest Wisconsin. His music is rooted in the sounds of Americana, rock, and country, blending heartfelt storytelling with a distinctly Midwestern spirit.

The DZ Combo is a jazz quartet based out of Dubuque, Iowa playing original jazz music written by pianist and composer, Danny Zanger.

I love to play the piano and singing is my passion. Shekinah King is a Dodgeville, WI native. Growing up in church started her crazy love for music. Shekinah is on a mission to sing and spread the joy of music everywhere she can.

The Juliani Ensemble will offer a chance for the public to “peek behind the curtain” of classical music and get a glimpse of what kind of work goes into creating the polished performances we are all used to seeing at Tallgrass Chamber Music Festival.
They will be rehearsing the Serenade in C major, Op. 10, by Ernő Dohnányi. Following rehearsal, there will be an opportunity to ask questions of the artists about anything music related and gain insight about the artistic process.

Tony Walker is a band of ONE. He plays songs everyone knows on acoustic guitar while playing drums with his feet.
