Ar Ais Aris (ah-rash ah-reesh), Irish for “back again”, artfully blends Irish and American traditional and original tunes. Featuring guitars, bodhrán, banjo, and keyboards, the band delivers a rich mix of songs from some of the greatest writers and performers. Join us in good company, grand ballads and lively Irish spirit!
This program is free, with donations appreciated to support bringing great regional art and artists to the Center.

Spend St. Patrick’s Day afternoon at Frank O’Dowd’s Irish Pub & Grill with live electric violin from 2–5 PM. Wendy Lynn Markus presents a vibrant musical journey through Ireland, blending traditional Celtic tunes with contemporary interpretations.

Her performance moves seamlessly from spirited dance tunes to cinematic, lyrical melodies — offering a festive and engaging soundtrack for the holiday celebration.

This special showcase features talented women singer-songwriters sharing their original compositions and unique perspectives. Part of the Broad Ideas month-long celebration, this event fosters inclusivity and creativity across various artistic disciplines.

Celebrate spring by turning a homegrown gourd into a cozy birdhouse for our feathered friends. Grown right here in Galena, each gourd is fully dried and ready for you to paint. We’ll supply all the materials, and you’ll head home with a bright, beautiful birdhouse that adds color and personality to your yard. No experience needed. Ages 12 and up are welcome. Workshop fee $30, includes all materials
