This month’s featured artist is oil painter Dotty Prince.
Prince’s works focus on abstract realism, using techniques that give her paintings a rich and textured appearance.
Raised in Wisconsin, Prince spent 20 years living and painting the western United States. Currently a Galena resident, Prince now captures the beauty of the Driftless area, with its unvarnished bluffs and woods around the Mississippi River.
Prince’s works are displayed in the Center’s current exhibits, which run through November 17th. Gallery hours are Thursday – Sunday 11am-4pm through October, 1pm-4pm beginning in November.
This event is free to attend, donations are appreciated.
