Learn basic vocal techniques, have fun with theater games, explore improv skills, and put all your newly learned skills together in the performance of a short theatrical or film monologue at the Friday afternoon showcase. Friends and family are invited to the showcase.
The Youth Acting Camp will be taught by Cindy Tegtmeyer. Cindy has a BFA in Acting from Millikin University. She was a professional actress, SAG-AFTRA voice-over artist and youth acting teacher in Chicago for over 20 years. Cindy also toured as a clown with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. She has performed locally at Bell Tower Theater, the Galena History Museum, Cemetery Walk and a few productions at Galena Center for the Arts.
Children ages 10-13 are welcome to join us for this camp July 18-22 from 1 to 4 pm. The class is limited to a maximum of 12 participants. Those interested are required to have proof of Covid-19 vaccination. The camp will be held in-person at Galena Center for the Arts, located at 971 Gear Street in Galena, Illinois.
