Don’t miss out on Galena Center for the Arts’ final event of the month: a table reading of “And Miss Reardon Drinks a Little.”

Catch one of two performances of the table reading on May 28 at 7 pm, or May 29 at 2 pm.

Written by Paul Zindel, “And Miss Reardon Drinks a Little” tells the story of the three Reardon sisters. One has married and cut herself off from her siblings; another has begun to drink more than she should; and the third, after a scandalous incident at the school where she teaches, is on the brink of madness.

Zindel has written a funny and fierce play with a mastery of language and a plot where comedy and tragedy seem to turn on a dime. The Hollywood Reporter said Zindel “has created three parts that most actresses would trade their souls to play.”

This performance is intended for mature audiences due to the content and language.

The cast for this table reading includes: Susan Barg, Joan McGrath, Margaret Scott, Laurie Malinowski, Whitney Arnold, Brian Schoenrock and Everett Noble, with narration by Jenni Ackerman. Ronn Toebaas will direct the performance.
